 Bars Pullovers and Glides

Thursday 10:15-11:15 am or Friday 12:15-1:15pm Cost:  $10

Pullovers are the beginning true skill every gymnast needs as they become a strong bar worker. This staple item is used as the first skill at both the Level 2 and 3 bar routines as a competitive gymnast! Glides are another incredibly important bar skill that is also in the Level 3 bar routine as well as the technical first step in learning the next basic bar skill the Kip!!! Strong glides equal strong kips!

Beam Dismounts & Levers

Thursday 11:30 – 12:30 pm or Friday 1:30-2:30 pm Cost:  $10

Beam dismounts can be both a fun and scary skill. Work on hitting a vertical handstand and

begin to learn how to do a twist off of the beam! The same twist that is used in the Level 3-5

competition beam dismounts! The lever on beam is a basic technical skill that is used to go into and out of many skills on both beam and floor gymnastics skills as well as in the Level 2 competitive beam routine. Learn the proper way to maintain the straight line needed to do a successful lever so you can use it as you build into even bigger gymnastics skills on both beam and floor!

Cartwheels and Roundoffs

Thursday 12:45 – 1:45 pm or Friday 2:45-3:45 pm Cost:  $10

Work to perfect your cartwheels on the floor so you can work to build into a strong tumbler. A great cartwheel is the base of a great roundoff which is a necessary skill towards becoming a powerful back tumbler! This skill is the start to learning roundoff back handsprings and is part of the Level 2 competitive routine and can build into every competitive level after!

Don’t Forget Friday morning Open Gym 10:30 to Noon!
