Amy grew up in central Washington. She spent 9 years doing competitive gymnastics, before making the transition to coaching. She learned so many life lessons as a gymnast, and loves helping young girls learn those same lessons about hard work, dedication, confidence, and passion. She’s excited to teach kids excellence in the sport of Gymnastics and integrity in life!
She moved to Portland in 2014 and spent the first three years as a team coach before joining the Rigert coaching staff. When she’s not coaching, Amy works for a non-profit in Burundi. In her free time she loves to stay active, running, hiking, and camping around Oregon with her husband, Russell.
